Caught a flu bug, almost died on the plane, stuffed nose, jet lag and exhaustion. Never enjoy long haul flights. Room under repair, so currently in another smaller room, don’t feel like going to work today with my stuffy lungs. Too lazy to cook, wish someone wld cook for me. Hungry…

Whipping up a simple and healthy meal is no biggie.. boiled potatoes, broccoli, sauteed mushrooms and oven baked skinless chicken drumsticks. Craving for some escargotes…

Nothing beats hanging out with a bunch of good friends. Simplicity is bliss.

Down with food poisonin again. damn. Back for only 2 weeks and kena food poisonin. missed out on the food galore at cousin’s BD party tonight. Sux to max. There were satay, chicken wings, prawns, broccoli, golden mushrooms, chocolate cakes.. =(

I bet i lost weight again after the bouts of diarrhoea. =(

Finally back home from the topsy turvy mad mad England. Missing Singapore so much.. food and friends. Wishing that time would not tick by too quickly since i’ll only be here for a short 2.5 weeks. Chanced upon some really good blogs of late and I thought I shld not put this blog that rob had painstakingly set up for me to waste.

Was chatting with a friendly english lady who sat next to me on the plane and it appears that this trip is her first visit to Singapore. She was wowing and Oooing at our beautiful airport the minute she stepped out of the gangway. Proud to be one true blue Singaporean!

Seriously irks me everytime i think about going back to the place where i pay first class rates for third world facilities. Claustrophobia inducing rooms, filthy kitchens, clogged bathrooms, manky corridors… Arrrgh! Thank goodness for the fun people around. I love u Singapore and i’m going to miss u again soon! =(

Term has started again and it’s back to slogging the hours in lab. Christmas was heart warming and delightful, spent 3 days at the Cumberland Lodge in Windsor together with a group of newly acquainted but fun-loving blokes and babes. 3 days were just not enough, especially when you are spoilt with the good food and company. Had Christmas lunch at a friend’s place. His residence is always a great hang out, just 10 mins cycle away from the city centre. The boxing day sale was crazy fun! hahaa.. Bought a pair of slip on fur shoes for just 10 quid, my fav horizontal striped shirt for 6 quid and a black and white cap from Topman for 5! What a bargain! =)

Last week was an extremely eventful week and New Year’s eve was disastrous, received a threat from someone. Sleepless for one night. Going to ignore and be glad. No new year’s resolution.

Went to London yesterday. Met up with some friends after such a long long time and had some proper home cooked food at friends’ place. Yeah.., always in for a gastronomical treat. London is still the same old gray, cold and boring city. Dun exactly understand how some people are dying to go there. Singapore is one million times more exciting in every aspect. Whatever that London has, we have, but definitely not the other way round. Maybe with the exception of the liberal LGBT culture here. There seem to be rainbow flags at every alley you turn into. MIssing the satay, prata, hor fun and kway teow.

Looking forward to spring and the colours, berms and flip flops! But please let it snow at least once this winter otherwise I’m just putting up with the cold for nothing. Haven’t had a snow fight in ages and the last time I built a snowman was 2 years back, when I also broke a bone in the hand and couldn’t write or work in the lab for 6 months!

Shld probably go visit xia xue’s blog some time, haven’t seen that chicken pie blogger ever since i got here. She must have a lot more bitchy nonsense to share.

I’m finally flying off. Take care all my pals. Miss you guys. =)

Down with food poisoning today, threw up in the early morning and having the runs ever since. Been so occupied with running errands, settling bank accounts, credit cards, phone, internet, insurance CPF, accommodations in Oxford, meeting friends and family, savings etc. etc. Just so many things to be done before flying off.

Just got back from San Diego a few days back and I must say it was a great load of fun this time round. Got to meet a lot of diff pple at the graduate symposium and did loads of shopping at the outlet malls. All the branded goods are def way cheaper than those you can get in Singapore~! Once you start, you can’t stop. hahaa.

Have abandoned this blog for so long now, guess I’ll update it whenever I can.
